The unique atmosphere may charm and bewitch you from the moment you step inside, with the pewter bar, striking overhead chandelier and deep comfy sofas and armchairs. The overhead gallery features historic sepia photographs of former pupils of the Victorian school.
Open from 10.00am until late, The Oyster Bar is the perfect place to meet friends, enjoy traditional afternoon tea or to simply relax with newspapers.

The Oyster Bar and overhead gallery is available for private hire for receptions, weddings and parties, and can be used in conjunction with the Library and Terrace to hold informal events of up to 200 people.
